UPDATE & Pictures of Me Modeling the "Yellow Pages" Paper Dress

I've been sewing a lot but not posting a lot! As usual, I'm behind by about 10 posts, and I'll probably continue to be behind by about 10 posts for the rest of my life : - )

I've sewed about three dresses, some more skirts, a couple belts. The dresses were interesting, albeit a little challenging at times. With some of the more recent skirt projects, I've done some applique! I have LOTS of commentary on all of this very soon. I've done some hair pulling, but I've also had some successes. I made a dress that I'm now calling the "cursed" dress, because I cursed every step of the way making it. I was fairly happy with the result, though, so it wasn't all bad.

Anyway, more sewing projects to come very soon. In the meantime, I said I'd post a picture of myself wearing our vintage "yellow pages" paper dress.

It's kind of unflattering, since it's so sack-like, but yet there's something kinda cute and charming about it. I would never wear this out, though. I can hardly keep from ruining my nylons before I even get out of the house!

Happy sewing!
Astrid

  1. Too bad it ruines your nylons. You look great in them. How often do you wear knee-highs?
